Founded in 2010, MiVoz.com is an independent and bilingual event listing website that publicizes local events related to the Latino community and culture. MiVoz.com was created to fill the need for a centralized listing of local Latino event information from varying and widespread sources. The site compiles event information from Internet sources, content partners and user-contributed content. Events listed on MiVoz.com include, but are not limited to, arts & entertainment, family-oriented events and professional networking events. We also offer event management functions and social media tools for both individuals and organizations. Andrea Méndez Barrutia, Founder

Prior to the founding of MiVoz.com, Andrea was a Business Analysis Manager at SABMiller. Prior to that, she held brand management positions at Kimberly-Clark and Kraft Foods. Andrea was also involved in multicultural marketing projects while at those firms. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University and an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Andrea is thankful for organizations such as The Hispanic Scholarship Fund, INROADS, The Consortium for Graduate Studies in Management (CGSM) and National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) that helped her achieve her educational goals and gave her valuable work experiences that will serve her well in this social entrepreneurial endeavor.
