Building community one event at a time.
Latino Veterans Legacy of Valor Foundation, Inc.
To honor the sacrifices of local Latino veterans in a manner that connects our past and present with our community’s future.
The Latino Veterans’ Legacy of Valor Foundation, or LVLV, is a 501(c)(3) committed to honoring local Latino veterans and service members by sharing their stories and creating permanent tributes to their sacrifice. The LVLV Foundation is operated as a dba of the Wisconsin Latino Veteran Memorial Foundation, created in 2006 as a subsidiary of the Wisconsin – American GI Forum.

The organization began as the LVLV Project, a consortium of the Milwaukee County War Memorial, the Wisconsin - American GI Forum and the Latino community. The Project primarily hosted an annual veterans and family reception where the Latino Veteran of the Year Award is given to a local Latino veteran who has extended his or her service to the Latino community beyond the military.
Join the board, help organize veteran and family friendly events, or contribute to the cause.
In 2019, the Foundation will introduce a scholarship program benefitting Wisconsin Latino/a veterans and their dependents.
