Bembé’s Learning from the Masters: Plena Puertorriqueña Master Class

Bembé’s “Learning from the Masters” was created to pass on Afro-Latino musical traditions directly from cultural elders and masters to Milwaukee cultural arts educators and the greater community through oral and cultural praxis. Learning From the Masters brings master artists-in-residence from the African Diaspora to Milwaukee for 8-10 week residencies.
Join us for a master class on Afro-Puerto Rican musical tradition, Plena Puertorriqueña, with our LFM artist-in-residence, Alberto “Beto” Torrens of San Juan, Puerto Rico!
