Join the Mother of Milwaukee Symposium This Saturday from 7:30 AM – 3PM. There will be several workshops touching on a variety of subjects plus free meals and giveaways. You do not want to miss this pivotal event presented by First Lady Dominique Jackson with a Kenote by Dr. Debbie N. Allen.

Sixteenth Street cares about keeping families healthy. Being active and eating well are important for people of all ages. Together, we can build a healthier and stronger community.

Join us for our 5th annual celebration of the Mexican painting icon Frida Kahlo!
We will have live music, food trucks, local art vendors, dance performances, art classes, and interactive art installations!
And of course the famous Frida Kahlo look-alike contest!
This year we will have a kids and adults category with cash prizes for both! Vendor spots will be available soon and sponsorship opportunities as well.

Join us for a Classic Car Show featuring Low Riders, Jeeps, Customized, Classics and more!
Best of the show will be awarded by popular vote by attendees.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd price trophy to be awarded.
Cars must arrive by 10 am at the festival. The show is from 11am to 4pm. Trophies presented at 3pm. Registration is $20.

There are no restrictions on how you can dress your Chihuahua for the Beauty Pageant or how much fun this contest is!
The Ay Chihuahua Beauty Pageant will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024, @ 2:00 p.m
Cinco de Mayo Family Festival
Judging:
Chihuahuas will be judged for appearance, trick performance, and most applause.
Beauty Pageant Judges will deem the winners.
First Prize is $100
The second prize is $75
The third prize is $50

Eligibility for the Beauty Pageant
• Chihuahua and Chihuahua-Mix breed dogs are eligible to compete
• There are no weight classes in the Beauty Pageant Competition.
• Dogs must be nonaggressive toward humans and other dogs
• Dogs showing aggression will be disqualified.
• All dogs must have current vaccinations as required by law.
• Owners under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Get ready for May Day 2024 – Wisconsin’s biggest annual march. We are marching in support of Palestine, and the rights of immigrant workers, families, and students! We are raising our demands to President Biden, Wisconsin legislators, and school boards 
The united people will never be defeated

Details: Wednesday, May 1
9:30 am: Join in front of the Voces office at 1027 S 5th St, Milwaukee. The street will be closed. There will be activities while we wait for the other regions to arrive.
10:30 am: We march to the Fiserv Forum – the site for the National Republican Convention 
we will reclaim the space for the community and the demands of the movement. The route is 2 miles.
12:00 / 12:30pm: We will arrive and begin the main program.
1:00 / 1:30pm: We finish fired up and ready to continue fighting for our communities moving forward!
